Distribution
The order Solifugae is widely distributed throughout the subtropical and tropical regions of America, Africa, Asia and Europe. The genus Galeodes is distributed in North Africa, Asia and southeastern Europe.

Prosoma with a pair of very large chelicerae that form a pincer, a pair of leg-like pedipalps, at the end of which lead to glands that produce adhesive substances. The first pair of very thin and long legs and three pairs of really walking legs.
